For most readers, the Folger Shakespeare Library translation (1992) of Macbeth is the best place to start: As with the rest of Shakespeare, the Folger is the easiest way in — notes facing the text, so you read Macbeth without constantly dropping to the bottom of the page. It's the shortest of the tragedies and moves fast; the Folger keeps you moving with it. Cheap and clear. This is where I'd start. For most scholarly, consider Arden (3rd series) (2015).
